This is a collaborative painting by Anuj Jenveja and Priyanka Pathak. It depicts an image of three interconnected South Asian men who tend to provoke curiosity and activate the part of the brain that tells stories. There is an unmistakable chemistry between the subjects, who embody different expressions and experiences, despite occupying the same space. It is impossible for the viewer not to infer why these individuals are reacting to each other in this way. Hot and Bothered represents many firsts for me: first diptych, first regional show, and first collaborative painting.
