Making a Matriarch

mixed media
on stretched canvas
26 x 26"

A moment in time when the generations of a family continue the trajectory toward cultural shift. In a deeply patriarchal society and culture, this piece is an oasis and an affirmation to the next generation carrying the torch to continue the family’s movement toward matriarchy. This piece juxtaposes the gentle, playful mood of youth against the serious pursuit of education and collective liberation in the future through cooperation. Previously on exhibit at at Village Arts Outreach gallery (Feb - Mar 2026), San Diego Water Color Society (Dec 2025), and Ashton Gallery (Oct 2025), San Diego, CA

Healing Story

acrylic on
stretched canvas
20 x 20"

$650

This piece has a dominant glow created by feathery warm yellows and oranges to depict a partially abstracted feminine form. Healing Story is a love letter to women, girls, and feminine presenting people, who have been unburdening themselves from the deep wounds. The image shows someone reclaiming their body while healing. The movements suggest this person is now feeling light, energetic, and perhaps dancing while reclaiming their story. The generous energy from this piece is contagious and invites the viewer to heal too. Previously on exhibit at San Diego Water Color Society (May 2026) and Village Arts Outreach gallery (Feb - Mar 2026).

If Only

Priyanka Pathak & Anuj Jenveja
acrylic on stretched canvas
36 x 36"

If Only we could be here together for a little longer. If Only I could hear your voice one more time. If Only I wasn’t deteriorating so fast. If Only you and I could still touch. If Only you knew how much I still love you. If Only I could join you in the other world. If Only…This acrylic painting made by two therapists and artists – Anuj Jenveja and me – honors grief and loss, a universal experience rooted in love that connects us all. The piece is an island where everyone’s tears, longing, and fragility are tenderly held and understood. It was created especially for our duo show titled Emotion X Connection.Previously on exhibit at Ashton Gallery, San Diego in Oct 2025.

Ready for Battle

acrylic
on stretched canvas
12 x 12"

An ornate, delicate gold necklace becomes armor in a time when immigrants are more overtly targeted and attacked. Our bodies are frontlines of battle fields where emotional and physical safety is at stake on a daily basis. The act of adorning one’s body signals an unwilling battle cry to those who have chosen to make us their scapegoats.Previously on exhibit at Ashton Gallery,
San Diego in Oct 2025.
